Given :- In the following pattern, every group of rectangles has one more rectangle than the group before it, and there is a rhombus before every group.

The sequence of 9 shapes:

1. rhombus

2. rectangle

3. rhombus

4. rectangle

5. rectangle

6. rhombus

7. rectangle

8. rectangle

9. rectangle

10. rhombus

Answer :-

A) Shape 15 is a rectangle .

we have,

→ at sequence 10 = Rhombus .

now,

→ at sequence 11 , we have = rectangle .

since every group of rectangles has one more rectangle than the group before it .

then, next group has 4 rectangles .

therefore,

→ At sequences 11, 12, 13 and 14 have = rectangle .

hence,

→ At sequence 15 we gets = Rhombus .

Statement (A) is false .

B) The next group will have 4 rectangles .

  • Statement (B) is true .

C) Every rhombus is an odd-numbered shape.

  • Statement (C) is false , as at sequence 6 and 10 are even places and there is rhombus .
