In the following reaction ,name the reactants which act as oxidising agent and reducing agent (i) CuO (s) + H2(g)-> Cu(s)+H2O (l) (ii) CuO(s)+Zn(s)->ZnO(s)+Cu(s)​

(1)CuO is the oxidizing agent and H2O is the reducing agent because oxidation no.is+2 in CuO decrease +2 unit in Cu will be zero.(2) in the 2nd reaction CuO is the oxidising agent and zn is the reducing agent due to change in oxidation number .CuO to Cu decrease in oxidation no.And Zn to ZnO increase in oxidation no.
