In the formation of solution , heat is either absorbed or evolved and homogenous material is produced ,still a solution is not a compound how do you justify it ?

1)the components of a homogeneous solution can be separated by physical methods.

2)the solution shows the avrge properties of both the components.

3)the composition of a solution is variable.

4)it does not have a definite boiling point.
