Given:

In the fruit bowl, there are 4 apples, 2 bananas, and 5 pears

To find:

The ratio of pears to ALL fruit

Solution:

In the given question

The Number of the Apples = 4

The Number of the Bananas = 2

The Number of the Pears = 5

The total number of fruits in the bowl is

4 + 2 + 5 = 11

To find the required ratio we just have to divide the number of the fruits as per the requirement of the ratio

and the ratio is the simplified form of the fraction in which the HCF of the numerator and the Denominator is 1

Ratio = Pear/All fruits

Ratio = 5/11

As the HCF [5,11] is 1 so this is the simplified form of the fraction only so this will be the final ratio of the pear to all fruits

The ratio of pears to ALL fruit is 5:11.
