In the general elections held in 2014 and 2019, the turnout of voters was more or less the same 66.7%. While this was higher than even before, it still meant that many people chose not to vote. Do you think it is every citizen’s duty to vote? Justify your answer.

Answer: voting as a Indian or a democrat is our fundamental duty as well as our right. Its because if you don’t vote you are not contributing towards the welfare of the country. The country need a representative so that they can supervise her and her people. If we don’t vote, we are disrespecting the country as well as the mighty democracy. Another reason why not voting is disadvantageous is if you aren’t comfortable with the ruling party and you haven’t voted ,you have no chance to go against them or complain against them individually.
