Here,

For first part :

i) In the given circuit , 12 Ω and 8Ω are in parallel combination and also 4 Ω and 6Ω are in parallel combination .

In parallel combination we use :

1/R = 1/r1 + 1/r2+ 1/r3.......

After solving this , both becomes in series .

In series combination we use :

R = r1+r2+r3....

Again solving , all becomes in parallel combination .

ii) current through the circuit :

•As we know that :

= V= IR

=> 12 = I (36/35)

=> I = (35×12)/36

=> I = 11.6 A .
