The potential difference across  3 uF capacitor will be 10 v

Explanation:

  • Both capacitor and battery are in series so

V(eq) = 20 - 4 = 16 v

C (e q) =  3×5 /  5+3  =    15 /  8

q = C( eq)  ×V( eq)  =  15/8  × 16 = 30

V3 = q /c  = 30 / 3 = 10 v

Thus the potential difference across  3 uF capacitor will be 10 v
