Net resistance is 2+R

Current in circuit will be

I = V/R  =  10/{2+R}

Now as in series current is same across each resistor

so voltage across resistor R

V=IR

4 =10/(2+R)  *R

8+4R =10R

8=6R

R =1.33 KOhm

P=V*V/R

  =161.33

  =12 mW
