In the given equation y=Asin(wt-kx) here x and y are displacements t is time and k is wave number calculate in what time intervak y is maximum

Y will be maximum when Sin will be maximum.

Now, Sin is maximum when SinB is 1.

SinB is 1, when B = 90.

Hence, ωt - kx = π/2

2πt/T - 2πx/λ = π/2

2t/T - 2x/λ = 1/2

t/T - x/λ = 1/4

Maximum value of x is λ.

Hence, t/T = 1/4 + 1

t/T = 5/4

t = 5T/4

Now, y will be maximum when t = 5T/4.
