In the given fig. a rectangular plot of land measure 8m by 6m. in each of the corners. there is a flowers bed in the form of a quadrant of a sudden circle of radius 2m also there is a flower bed in the form of a radius 2m in the middle of the plot find the area of the remaining plot.

Solution :-

Area of the Rectangular plot = L*B

⇒ 8*6

= 48 m²

Area of 4 quadrants of a circle = 4*1/4*πr²  

⇒ 4*1/4*22/7*2*2

⇒ 88/7

⇒ 12.57 m²

Area of circular flower bed in the middle of the rectangular plot = πr²

⇒ 22/7*2*2

⇒ 88/7

= 12.57 m²

Area of the remaining plot = 48 - (12.57 + 12.57)

48 - 25.14

22.86 m²
