Correct question :

In the given figure,AB and CD are two lines intersecting eac other at point O if COE =90°, find the values of x,y and z

Solution :

angle y = 2x [Vertically opposite angles]

angle z = 90° + x [Vertically opposite angles]

Now,

2x + 90° + x + y + z = 360 [Angles about a point]

2x + 90 + x + 2x + (90° + x) = 360°

6x + 180° = 360°

6x = 180

x = 30°

Put x = 30° in eq. (i) and (i), we get

y = 2x = 2 x 30° = 60°

and z = 90° + x = 90° + 30° = 120°

Hence, x = 30°, y = 60° and z = 120°
