Answer:

Given : PA and PB are tangent to the circle with centre  O.

XY is a tangent to the circle at Z which intersects PA and PB in X and Y respectively and PA = 12 cm.

Lengths of tangents drawn from as external point to a circle are equal.

∴ PA = PB = 12cm

XA = XZ

YB = YE

Now perimeter of ΔPXY = PX + XY + PY

= PX + (XZ + YZ) + PY

= PX + (XA + YB) + PY

= (PX + XA) + (YB + PY)

= PA + PB

= 12cm + 12cm

= 24cm.
