In the given fig.if AD⊥BC prove that AB²+CD²=BD²+AC²

AD² = BD²-AB²(by pathagrous theorem)

similar, AD²=CD²-AC²

BD²-AB²=DC²-AC² ( because AD² )

we get

-AB²-CD²=BD²-AC²(multiple - )

AB²+CD²=BD²+AC²

hence proved
