LET" C" BE THE MIDPOINT OF AB

THEN AC=4 & BC=4

By Pythagoras theorem

(H)^2=(P)^2+(B)^2

(5)^2=(P)^2+(4)^2

25=P^2+16

P^2=25-16

P^2=9

P=3

distance of chord is 3cm
