Given : Area of the biggest square is 1024 cm²

To Find : Area of shaded region

Solution:

Area of Square = Side²

Side² = 1024

=> side =  32 cm

Side of biggest square = 32 cm

Sides of 4 small  square adds to side of biggest square

Hence side of  small square = 32/4 = 8cm

Area of one small square = 8² = 64 cm²

Area of 4 small squares = 4 * 64 = 256 cm²

Area of shaded region = 1024 - 256

= 768 cm²
