Construction : Draw a line GH from G, parallel to AB.

Procedure :

∠HGB = z

∠DGH = y

∠BGD = z + y = x

GH || AB

AB || GH and BG is transversal.

∠ABG + ∠HGB = 180⁰ (co-interior angles)

120⁰ + x= 180⁰

x= 60⁰

z = 60

Now,

140⁰ + y = 180⁰

y = 40

BGD = x + y
