In the given figure, AB = AC and AD = AE. Using Euclid's axiom, prove that BE = DC

Given that AB=AC

Given that AD=AE

to prove BE=DC

Proof:-

In triangle BAE and triangle CAD we get that BA=AC which is given

∠A is common

AE=AD which is given

By the side angle side congruency  criteria Δ BAE ≅ΔCAD

And hence by corresponding parts of congruent triangle we proved that BE=DC and hence proved.
