Given: AB||ED and ∠ ABC = 30° , ∠ EDC = 70°

To Find: The value of x.

Solution:

If we draw a line MN parallel to AB and ED, we can say that,

∴   ∠ BCN = 30°             [ Alternative Angles ]

 ∴  ∠ DCN = 70°             [ Alternative Angles ]

Hence, ∠ BCD =   ∠ BCN  +  ∠ DCN  = 30° + 70°

                        = 100°

We can see that x is the reflex angle of ∠ BCD.

So, the value of x = 360° - 100°       [Total angles around a point = 360° ]

                             = 260°

Hence, the value of x is 260°.
