In ∆ABD and ∆AEC,

AB=AC(given)

Angle ABD= Angle ACE

BE=CD

Subtracting DE on both sides

BE-DE=CD-DE

»BD=CE

By SAS Congruency Criterion,

∆ABD is congruent to ∆ACE

By CPCT,

AD=AE

hence proved
