In the given figure, AB parallel CD. The line segments BC and AD intersect at O. Show that: z= x+y.

As we know that angle DCO and angle CDO makes the exterior angle z, and as AB and CD are parallel, so angle ABO=angle OCD. And angle OCD=angle OBA.

So by this we can say that angle x plus angle y is equal yo angle z.
