AD = CB
[opp sides of a ll gm are equal]

BD = BD
therefore
ABD and CDB are congruent
[SSS axiom]
BDA = DBC [cpct]
9x = 27
x = 3
And
CDB = ABD[cpct]
8y = 32
y = 4
AD = CB

but its not neccecary to tell that they r congruent bcoz ABCD is a llgm and diagonals of a llgm divide it into two congruent triangle.
