The area of triangle DBC=56 square cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In parallelogram ABCD

BE=14 cm

AD=8 cm

Area of parallelogram ABCD=Base\times height

Using the formula

Area of parallelogram ABCD=AD\times BE=14\times 8=112 cm^2

We know that when a triangle is  formed on the same base  and between parallel lines of parallelogram

Then, area of triangle=\frac{1}{2}\times area of parallelogram

Using the formula

Area of triangle ABD=\frac{1}{2}{\times 112=56cm^2

Area of triangle C=Area of parallelogram ABCD-area of triangle ABD=112-56=56cm^2[/tex]

Hence, the area of triangle DBC=56 square cm
