In the given figure ABCD is a rectangle. The radius of the semicircles drawn on AD and BC as diameters and the radius of the circle drawn in between is the same. if BC = 7cm, find the area of the shaded region.

= Two Semi circles +  Area of Rectangle - Area of Semicircle inside rectangle

= 2 * (1/2)π(7/2)²  +  7 * 14  - (1/2)π(14/2)²

= (22/7)(49/4) + 98    - (1/2) (22/7) * 49

= 38.5 + 98 - 77

= 59.5
