In the given figure , ABCD is a rectangle with AD=12 cm and DC=20 cm. Line segment DE is drawn making an angle of 30° with AD , intersecting AB at E .Find the length of DE and AE .​

Angle D=30°.........(given)

2) In ΔDAE

cot 30°= AD/AE

√3=12/AE

AE=12/√3

AE=12/√3 * √3/√3.........(rationalizing denominator)

AE=12√3/3

AE= 4√3

3)In ΔDAE

angle D= 30°.........(given)

sin 30°=AE/DE

1/2=4√2/DE

DE=2√3
