According to the question,

Area of shaded region= Area of rectangle ABCD-Area of triangle ADE

=Area of rectangle = length ×Breadth.

=36×24

=864sq.m

Area of triangle =1/2×base×height.

=1/2×24×15

=180.

area of shaded region =864-180

=684sq.m

;-)hope it helps u.

Answer:

Area of the shaded region = 684 meter²

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangle = 36 meter

Breadth of rectangle = 24 meter

Area of the rectangle ABCD = Length × Breadth

Area = 36 × 24

Area = 864 meter²

Now, in ΔADE

AD = 24 meter

Height, EF = 15 meter

\text{Area of triangle ADE = }\frac{1}{2}\times AD\times EF\\\\Area =\frac{1}{2}\times 24\times 15\\\\Area = 180\text{ meter}^2

⇒ Area of shaded region = Area of Rectangle ABCD - Area of ΔADE

⇒ Area of the shaded region = 864 - 180

⇒ Area of the shaded region = 684 meter²
