ABCD is a square

AD = 6 cm

Find BP:

AB = AD ( ABCD is a square)

AB = 6 cm

BP = AP = AB ÷ 2 (P is the mid point of AB)

BP = 6 ÷ 2

BP = 3 cm

Find PO:

PQ = AD (Given that PQ//AD)

PQ = 6cm

PO = OQ = PQ ÷ 2 ( O cuts the PQ into 2)

PO= 3 cm

Find the area of triangle OBP:

Area = 1/2 x base x height

Area = 1/2 x 3 x 3

Area = 4.5 cm²

Answer: The area is 4.5 cm²
