in the given figure, AC = XD. C is the mid-point of AB and D is mid-point of XY. Using an
Euclid’s Axiom, show that AB = XY

Step-by-step explanation:

ac = xd ..... (1)

and c and d are respectively the Midpoint of ab and xy

so bc = dy......(2)

in equation (1)&(2) by Euclids axiom number 2 if equals are added to equal then whole are equal

ac + bc = xd + dy

ab = xy

hence proved.
