To prove that ABC is an isosceles triangle,
We should prove that AB=AC
In ΔABD and ΔAEC ,
- AD=AE
- BD=EC
As AD=AE , ∠ADE=∠AED
∴ 180°-∠ADE=180°-∠AED
- ∴ ∠ADE=∠AEC
By SAS criterion, ΔABD≅ΔACE
By CPCT, AB=AC
Hence ΔABC is an isosceles triangles.
