In the given figure, AD||BE||CF. Prove that area (Triangle AEC) = area (Triangle DBF)​

Answer:

In the given figure, AD∥BE∥CF.

Since, AD∥BE

Area(△ABE)=Area(△DEB)  [The area of triangles on the same (or equal) base and between the same two parallels are equal.] ....(1)

Since,  BE∥CF

Area(△BEC)=Area(△BFE)  [The area of triangles on the same (or equal) base and between the same two parallels are equal.] ...(2)  

Add equation (1) and (2),

Area(△ABE)+Area(△BEC)=Area(△DEB)+Area(△BFE)  

Area(△AEC)=Area(△DBF)
