AD=AD[common]

BD=BC[AD perpendicular to BC]

angle ADB= angle ADC[each 90°]

therefore, ∆ADB congruent to ∆ ADC[

SAS rule of congruency]

AB=AC[c.p.c.t.]

therefore , ∆ ABC is an isosceles triangle.
