In the given figure angle C = 90 degree, angle D = 90 degree and AC=BD. Then show that
Triangle ACB is congruent to triangle BDA. Figure is in the given attachment

Given

  • ∠C = 90°
  • ∠D = 90°
  • AC = BD

To Prove

  • ∆ ACB ≅ ∆ BDA

Solution

According to the given question we have to prove that ∆ ACB ≅ ∆ BDA .

In ∆ ACB & ∆ BDA

∠ACB = ∠BDA ( 90° each )

AC = BD ( given )

AB = AB ( common )

∴ ∆ ACB ≅ ∆ BDA ( by R.H.S. congruency)
