Given : In the given figure, AP.is a radius of  circle ABC and diameter of circle APQ.

To Find : Show that AQ = QC

Solution:

AP is diameter of smaller circle

=> ∠AQP = 90°

=> ∠CQP = 90°   as AQC is a straight line

CP = AP = Radius of larger circle

AQ² = AP² - PQ²

CQ² = CP² - PQ²

CP = AP

Hence AQ² =  CQ²

=> AQ = CQ

QED
