YZ = 59m

Given :-

In the given figure area XYZ =118m² and XS =4m . Find YZ = ?

Now,

Area of ∆ = (1/2) * Base * Perpendicular height .

∵ XS is perpendicular to Base YZ .

then,

→ Area ∆XYZ = (1/2) x Base x Perpendicular height

→ Area ∆XYZ = (1/2) x YZ x XS

→ 118 = (1/2) * YZ * 4

→ 2YZ = 118

→ YZ = 59m

Hence, YZ is equal to 59 m.
