Given :- In the given figure area XYZ =118m² and XS =4cm . Find YZ = ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Area of ∆ = (1/2) * Base * Perpendicular height .

since, XS is perpendicular on Base YZ .

then,

→ Area ∆XYZ = (1/2) * Base * Perpendicular height .

→ Area ∆XYZ = (1/2) * YZ * XS

→ 118 = (1/2) * YZ * 4

→ 2YZ = 118

→ YZ = 59m (Ans.)

therefore, YZ is equal to 59 m .
