       =9+16=25

bc=5cm

since bc is diameter =5

radius=5/2

area of shaded region =area of semicircle - area of triangle

                                      = 1/2 pie r^2 - 1/2 *b*h

                                      = 1/2 *3.14 *5/2*5/2- 1/2*4*3

                                      = 1.57*25/2 - 6

                                      = 38.32/4 - 6

                                      =  9.56 - 6
