AC = 1/2AB-------------(1)

AD = 1/2AC-------------(2)

multiply equation one and two we get,

AC into AD = 1/2AB into 1/2AC

AC into AD =1/4AB into AC

(AC gets cancled on both sides)

AD = 1/4AB
