in triangle ABC,

BC=x

AC²=AB²+x²

13²=AB²+x²

169=AB²+x²

AB²=169-x².......equation 1

in triangle ABD,

BD=x+11

AB²+BD²=AD²

AB²+(x+11)²=20²

AB²+x²+121+22x=400

AB²=400-121-x²-22x

AB²=279-x²-22x......equation 2

from equation 1 and equation 2

169-x²=279-x²-22x

22x=279-169

22x=110

x=110/22=5

therefore, BC=5cm BD=16cm

AB=12cm
