Given :-

  • ∠ABC = x°
  • ∠ACB = y° .

To Find :-

  • BDC in terms of x and y ?

Solution :-

in ∆ABC, we have,

→ ∠ABC + ∠ACB + ∠BAC = 180° (By angle sum Property of a ∆.)

→ x° + y° + ∠BAC = 180°

→ ∠BAC = 180° - (x° + y°)

now, we know that,

  • All angles inscribed in a circle and subtended by the same chord are equal.

as we can see that,

  • ∠BAC and ∠BDC are subtended by the same chord BC .

therefore,

→ ∠BAC = ∠BDC

hence,

→ ∠BDC = 180° - (x° + y°) (Ans.)
