Answer:

AC=17²-8²=289-64=225

225^1/2=15CM

10²-8²=100-64=36

36^1/2=6CM

AC=15+6=21CM

siamlena23: so be careful.. try solve like this. first take the triangle we know have 90° angle which is D
siamlena23: right triangle ADB and BCD apply pythogoras theorem on both to find AD and Dc
siamlena23: BDC
siamlena23: then AC=AD+DC
anamika2508: can you show the working
vivekkumarkvnoida: ok
vivekkumarkvnoida: ap konsi class ma ho
siamlena23: In triangle ADV, AD=√(100-64) =6cm.In triangle BDC, DC=√ 289-64=15cm
siamlena23: spelling mistakes first should be Triangle ADB
siamlena23: so AC=AD+DC=6+15=21cm

bu angel bisector theorem

bd\dc=ab/ac

x/12-x=10/6

3x=5(12-x)

3x=60-5x

3x+5x=60

8x=60

x=60/8

x= 30/4

x=15/2

x=7.5cm

BD=x=7.5cm

DC=12-x=12-7.5=4.5 cm
