sum of angles in a straight line is = 180°

∠DAE + ∠DAC + ∠CAB   = 180°

(x-5)° + (3x + 20)° + 65° = 180°

x - 5° + 3x +20° + 65° = 180°

4x + 80° = 180°

4x = 180° - 80°

4x = 100°

x = 100°/4

x = 25°

∠DAE = (x - 5)° = 25 -5 = 20°

∠DAC = (3x + 20)° = 3(25) + 20° = 75° + 20° = 95°

∠CAB = 65°

Answer:

x= 30°

Step-by-step explanation:

(x-5°)+(3x-20°)+65° = 180°

x-5°+3x-20°+65° = 180°

3x+x = 180°+5°-65°

4x = 120°

x = 120°/4 = 30°
