Here x= y ( angle in the same segment)
And x= y = 1/2 70° ( angle subtended by the arc at any point AO the circle is half of the angle subtended by it at the centre)
therefore x= y = 35°

Answer:

The value of x and y is 35°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information: O is the center of the circle.

According to the central angle theorem, the angle subtended by an arc is always half of its central angle.

Let the Central angle of arc AB is 70°.

Angle ACB and angle ADB are subtended by the arc AB.

\angle ACB=\angle ADB=\frac{70}{2}=35^{\circ}

x=y=\frac{70}{2}=35^{\circ}

Therefore the value of x and y is 35°.
