  • value of x

Property to be used:-

  • vertically opposite angles are equal
  • co-interior angles sum up to 180°

Solution:-

→  3x+22° = angle co-interior to 2x-12° {vertically opposite angles}

→  3x+22°+2x-12° = 180° {sum of co-interior angles is 180°}

→  5x+10 = 180°

→ 5x = 170°

→ x = \bf\dfrac{170}{5} = 34°

Additional Information:-

  • corresponding angles are equal
  • alternate interior angles are equal i.e one on the same side of tranversal
