In the given figure, four streets a, b, c and d are shown, and the region between them was used as dumping ground. An NGO planned to clean that ground and convert it into the playground for the children of nearby colony. Which value is NGO exhibiting by doing so ? Is the streets a and b parallel to each other ? What you can conclude about the streets c and d ?

  The NGO has exhibited a good value of protection of children's right to grow in a good atmosphere.  They have shown inclination to alround development of children.

   The children must be given their right to be educated and grow as good citizens.

Unless we have the diagram of the streets , we cannot say about them.

\huge\underline\bold{Answer:}

Since lines b and c intersect each other, therefore

\angle2 = 60°-------- 1.

Similarly Iines a and c intersect each other, therefore

\angle1 = 120° --------2.

\bf\underline\red{Adding\:(1)\:and\:(2),\:we\:have}

\angle1 + \angle2 = 120° + 60° = 180°

\rightarrow\angle1 and \angle2 are supplementary angles.

\rightarrow Consecutive interior angles are supplementary.

\impliesa \parallel b.

Since, line c stands on line b, therefore

\angle5 + 60° = 180°

\rightarrow \angle5 = 180° - 60° = 120°.

A transversal b intersects two lines c and d such that \angle5 and \angle3 are alternate angles.

•°• \angle3 = \angle5

\implies \angle3 = 120°.

Now, \angle2 + \angle3 = 60°+120° = 180°

\rightarrow\angle2 and \angle3 are supplementary.

\rightarrow Consecutive interior angles are supplementary.

\impliesc \parallel d.
