In the given figure, if AB || If BC, find the value of x.

Answer:

since the given diagram is trapezium

where AB || DC

then ,

3x-1 = 2x +1

3x-2x = 1+1

x(3-2) = 2

x= 2. equation (1)

and also ,

6x -5 = 5x - 3

6x-5x = (-3) + 5

x(6-5) = 2

x = 2 equation (2)

from equation 1 and 2

the value of x is 2 unit.
