Given :- AOB is a straight line .

To Find :- ∠BOC :-

(a) 80°

(b) 70°

(c) 60°

(d) 20°

Solution :-

Since AOB is a straight line .

So,

→ ∠AOB + ∠BOC = 180° { Linear pair angles }

→ (2x + 30°) + (2x + 10°) = 180°

→ 2x + 2x + 30° + 10° = 180°

→ 4x + 40° = 180°

→ 4x = 180° - 40°

→ 4x = 140°

→ x = 35°

therefore,

→ ∠BOC = 2x + 10° = 2 × 35° + 10° = 70° + 10° = 80° (a) (Ans.)

Hence, ∠BOC is equal to 80° .

Extra :-

→ ∠AOC = 2x + 30° = 2 × 35° + 30° = 70° + 30° = 100° .
