From image we have :-
- l || m
- p || q
- Transversal line n make angle of 50° at Point O on line l make angle 70° at point S on line p.
Solution :-
we have given that, l || m and n is a transversal line.
So,
→ Angle at O = 50°
→ interior Angle at S by transversal line n = 50° . { Corresponding Angles .}
Than,
→ Exterior angle at S = 180° - 50° = 130°. { Straight Line } .
Therefore,
→ Angle at point S on Line p , by transversal line m = 130° - 70° = 60° .
Hence,
→ ∠x = 60° . { Vertical Opposite Angles } .
Now, since line p || q .
So,
→ ∠x + ∠y = 180° .
→ 60° + ∠y = 180°
→ ∠y = 180° - 60°
→ ∠y = 120° .
∴
→ ∠y - ∠x = 120° - 60° = 60° (Ans.)
