• Sum of angles of a triangle is 180°
• Exterior angle of a triangle = Sum of opposite two interior angles
• Properties of angles formed by transversal line  with two parallel lines :

• • Corresponding angles are congruent. ( Equal in Measure)
• • Alternate angles are congruent.  ( Interiors & Exterior  both )
• • Co-Interior angles are supplementary. ( adds up to 180°)

Step 1:

Calculate exterior angle of triangle

30° + 40° = 70°

Step 2:

70° and x are Interior alternate angle hence equal in measures

x = 70°

The value of x is 70°
