Given :- In the given figure, if O is the centre of circle and ∠POQ = 110°, then find ∠PRQ. Give reasons for your answer. ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • The angle subtended by an arc at the centre is double the angle subtended by it at any point on the remaining part of the circle.

we have given that,

→ Angle at centre = ∠POQ = 110° .

therefore,

→ Angle at circle = ∠PRQ = (1/2)∠POQ = (1/2) * 110° = 55° (Ans.)

Hence, ∠PRQ is equal to 55° .

Answer:

We know that angle subtended by an arc at the centre is double the angle subtended by it at the remaining part of the circle.

∠PRQ =1/2 ∠POQ

= 1/2 x 110°

= 55°
