To find: ∠Y

Construction: draw a line parallel to PQ and AB from the point ∠Y. And let                

                       us name the constructed line as MN  (∴AB║MN║PQ)

Proof : ∠BAY = ∠AYM = 50°  (alternate angles) ................(1)

            ∠QPY = ∠PYM =50°   (alternate angles).................(2)

         ∴ By adding equation (1) and (2)

            50° + 50° = 100°

∴ ∠Y = 100°
