The measure of angle c is 144°. (Option b)

Given:

a:b=2:3

To find:

The angle c

Solution:

We know that the sum of angles a and b is 90° as they are forming a right angle.

So, a+b=90°

We also know that a:b=2:3.

Let the angle a=2x and b=3x.

Using values,

2x+3x=90°

5x=90°

x=90/5

x=18°

The measures of a and b are as follows-

a=2x=2×18°=36°

b=3x=3×18°=54°

Now, the angle c is formed by a right angle and the angle vertically opposite to b.

The angle vertically opposite to b=angle b=54°

So, the measure of c=90°+angle b

=90°+54°

=144°

Therefore, the measure of angle c is 144°.
